What is LASEK-PRK?
Dr. Victor Derhartunian explains what LASEK-PRK treatment is.
LASEK-PRK is a variant of laser eye surgery without an incision, whereby the uppermost cell layer is removed either with the eye laser or with alcohol.
The corneal surface is then treated.
This corrects the visual defect and the top layer of cells regenerates within two to three days of the operation.
Final visual acuity is achieved approximately a few weeks after the operation.
