Is the final visual acuity achieved the day after laser eye surgery?
Dr. Victor Derhartunian explains visual acuity after laser eye surgery.
The answer is: No.
On the first day after the laser eye surgery, you may still have blurred vision because the cornea may be swollen.
You may already have a slightly dry eye.
All of this affects your visual acuity.
A certain amount of time must pass before stability is achieved.
And only when stability is achieved do we assess the final result.
