What happens on the day of treatment?
Dr. Victor Derhartunian explains the treatment procedure on the day of the operation
On the day of the laser eye treatment, the patient usually comes to us 20 to 30 minutes before the procedure.
We go through all the documents and consent forms again.
The drip plan is explained again.
We explain to the patient how they should behave immediately after the operation.
They are then taken to the operating theater.
There the surgeon discusses the exact steps of the procedure with the patient.
After the treatment, the eye is examined again under the slit lamp to check whether the treatment has been carried out with the best possible result, whether all anatomical structures are in the best possible position and whether the contact lens is in place.
The next follow-up check takes place the very next day in the morning.
