Which laser eye surgery is best?
Patients often ask me this question and the answer is always the same:
There is no best method in the field of laser eye surgery, but there is the best adapted method for the respective patient.
There are patients who do boxing, for example, for whom I cannot offer an incision method or at least not a Femto-LASIK method, so I would offer either the SmartSight or the Trans-PRK method, i.e. without an incision, and there are patients who need or want to see as quickly as possible the very next day and then only Femto-LASIK or SmartSight is possible in this area.
