After Femto-LASIK surgery, you will have a foreign body sensation in the eye for up to six hours after the procedure. The eyes may also water a lot. After a resurfacing procedure, such as LASIK or PRK surgery, the pain lasts much longer, up to three days. During this time, you use drops to relieve this pain.
