Laser eye surgery: how often and when?
Dr. Victor Derhartunian explains how often and when corrective surgery may be necessary.
In general, the probability of needing a follow-up correction after laser eye surgery is around 5%.
We distinguish between two groups of post-corrections: post-corrections that occur immediately after laser eye surgery.
These are then screened at the monthly or three-month check-up.
We call this our quality assurance check.
The second type of post-correction is caused by natural changes in the eyes, and in most cases these can be corrected over time, whether after one year or two or five years.
