What is corneal cross-linking?
Dr. Victor Derhartunian explains corneal cross-linking
Cross-linking is a type of hardening of the natural cornea. The uppermost cells of the cornea are removed.
We drop vitamin B directly onto the corneal surface, the drops are absorbed into the cornea and the cornea is then illuminated with UV rays.
Through this combination of these two parameters, we expect a hardening of the tissue.
